Juventus plan January move after Bremer injury with Skriniar and Kim Min-Jae on shortlist

Juventus are evaluating defensive reinforcements for the January transfer window after Gleison Bremer’s injury left Igor Tudor short of options at the back.

While the situation is not as severe as last season, when both Bremer and Juan Cabal suffered long-term injuries, the double setback has reignited concern within the club.

Cabal and Bremer are both expected to return within weeks, but there is caution that recurring fitness issues could persist throughout the campaign.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, via IlBianconero, Juve are already considering options should further cover be needed, with Milan Škriniar and Kim Min-Jae emerging as potential opportunities.

Kim, formerly of Napoli, has struggled for minutes at Bayern Munich and could seek a move mid-season if his situation doesn’t improve. The South Korean’s non-EU status, however, complicates matters given Juve’s limited foreign player slots.

Škriniar, meanwhile, has resurfaced as a target after joining Fenerbahçe last summer. The departure of José Mourinho, who was a strong supporter of the Slovakian defender, may open the door for a possible exit, even though the 30-year-old has featured regularly this term.

Injuries at the back could also affect Juventus’ plans on the right flank, with Pierre Kalulu expected to cover as a third centre-back rather than a wing-back in the 3-4-2-1 setup.

Quick take: Injury outlook: depth players may get minutes, but the knock could strain the side’s rhythm. Recovery timelines will guide expectations; international duty could also be impacted. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
