West Ham have endured a difficult campaign, languishing 18th in the Premier League and exiting the EFL Cup in the first round.

Recent results have offered a glimmer of hope, though, with a morale‑boosting FA Cup win over QPR followed by a dramatic late victory against Tottenham in the league.

With January signings Taty Castellanos and Pablo Felipe already arriving to bolster Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad, the Hammers appear intent on keeping momentum in their fight to stay up.

Now, West Ham look set to add a third new face to their ranks.

West Ham are “close to signing” Venezuelan winger Keiber Lamadrid, according to the Guardian.

The 22‑year‑old, who currently plays for Deportivo La Guaira in his homeland, is expected to join the Hammers on an initial loan with an option to make the move permanent.

Lamadrid, who made his senior debut for Venezuela in November, primarily operates on the left flank and has impressed in Venezuela’s top tier.

Last season with Deportivo La Guaira, he contributed eight goals and six assists in 36 appearances as Deportivo finished top of the first league stage of the Liga FUTVE, only to be eliminated in the semi-finals.

The agreement is understood to be nearly complete, with Lamadrid waiting to undergo a medical and finalise visa requirements before the move is officially announced.

A low‑risk loan deal with a modest buy clause gives West Ham flexibility while providing Nuno with fresh attacking options as the club battles to climb out of the relegation zone.
