Strahinja Pavlovic scored the opening goal at San Siro to put Milan in the lead against Roma.
The goal came against the run of play, with the Giallorossi dominating for a majority of the first half.
However, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side were unable to break the deadlock and missed a number of good chances. And, before they knew it, Milan had hit them on an incisive counter attack.
Alexis Saelemaekers played a lovely ball to Rafael Leao on the flank, with the Portuguese forward charging down the left-hand side. All the while, Pavlovic made his run up from defence, providing support and a man for Leao to square it to.
