Vucinic tells Juventus talent to ‘go elsewhere’ if he can’t get playing time

Former Juventus and Roma star Mirko Vučinić believes Juventus talent Vasilije Adžić should ‘go elsewhere’ to get playing time if he can’t earn it at the Allianz Stadium.

Vucinic has recently been appointed as the Montenegro national team coach and offered advice to his compatriot Adzic during his latest interview with Gazzetta dello Sport.

“I believe Adzic needs to go elsewhere to play if he can’t find space there; otherwise, he’ll never develop. He’s a very good player, a No.8 or even a holding midfielder in front of the defence. But training alone doesn’t give you real experience.”

Vucinic said he would “not dare” to give advice to Juventus coach Tudor, although Adzic needs to get more playing time to develop.

Adzic, 19, has made five Juventus appearances across all competitions this season, scoring one goal against Inter.

Vucinic went on to reveal his role models as a coach: “Conte, Spalletti and Zeman. They’ve all been true mentors to me. If I manage to become a mix of these three, I’ll be a successful coach.”

Vucinic also admitted that he had not put in enough effort during his playing career, which he regrets now.

“True. If you had asked me five years ago, I would have told you I didn’t care at all. But now that I’m on the other side, I can admit it,” he said.

“I should have worked harder. Having good feet isn’t enough. I often tell my players that now.”

Vucinic’s former club, Juventus, visit Real Madrid in the Champions League this evening. What will the Bianconeri need to get a result in the Spanish capital?

“Personality,” the former striker replied.

“In that stadium, you just don’t feel a hostile atmosphere. You feel the weight of the opponent and of history. But it can be done anyway.

“I see a decent tactical balance, despite the heavy defeat against Como. Tudor is doing his job. There’s quality within the squad.

“When you are at Juventus, you always have to fight to win. I see a very balanced Serie A, with three big northern clubs plus Napoli competing for the title.”

Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
