Tottenham ‘ready to offload’ midfielder in January after shocking behind-the-scenes incident

Tottenham appear to have steadied themselves after a messy run of results.

Following defeats to Arsenal, PSG and Fulham — a spell that raised real concerns about their direction — Thomas Frank’s side have responded with two much-needed victories.

They first saw off Brentford 2–0 in the Premier League, with Xavi Simons delivering his standout performance in a Spurs shirt, running the show in midfield.

Days later, Spurs cruised to a 3–0 win over Slavia Prague in the Champions League, Simons once again starring and helping himself to a goal.

But despite the upturn in form, not everything is rosy behind the scenes — especially for one midfielder who now looks to be firmly out of the club’s plans.

Tottenham are “ready to offload” Yves Bissouma in the January window, with the midfielder’s future now hanging by a thread.

According to talkSPORT, Bissouma is facing internal disciplinary measures after new footage surfaced allegedly showing him inhaling laughing gas — the second such incident in two seasons.

It comes on the back of an already strained relationship with manager Thomas Frank, who dropped the Mali international from the Super Cup defeat to PSG after he arrived late for training.

Since then, things have only deteriorated. Bissouma — a £25m signing from Brighton — was left out of Spurs’ Champions League squad entirely and has not played a single competitive minute this season. Sources say the club now see no way back for the 29-year-old and are actively working on an exit route.

Galatasaray, who pushed for his signature last summer before talks collapsed, are still admirers and could reignite their pursuit once the window opens.

It is a dramatic fall for a player once regarded as one of the Premier League’s most exciting midfielders during his Brighton days. But with trust broken, opportunities gone, and Spurs moving forward without him, Bissouma’s time in north London appears to be reaching its natural conclusion.
