Tottenham Hotspur are keeping tabs on Club Brugge and Greece winger Christos Tzolis. Tzolis starred for his country in their 3-2 win over Scotland on Saturday, scoring their third goal in the 63rd minute.
While Greece were ultimately unable to qualify for next summer’s World Cup, the 23-year-old has caught the attention of several suitors for his performances with club and country. Crystal Palace are known admirers of the player and enquired about him as a potential replacement for Eberechi Eze over the summer.
Aston Villa and West Ham are also understood to have tracked the player for while. TeamTalk has now reported that Tottenham have entered the race for the forward. Tzolis is off to a flying start this season with 17 goal contributions (eight goals and nine assists) from 23 games for Brugge.
He’s scored one goal and given one assist in four appearances in the Champions League, putting top European clubs on notice. He was previously on the books at Norwich City from 2021 to 2024, but spent much of that time on loan to Twente and Fortuna Dusseldorf.
He made the move to Brugge in the summer of 2024 and has impressed during his two seasons in Belgium.
Tzolis has impressed with his versatility. He can play anywhere across the front line and is known for his direct dribbling style and powerful finishing.
He is also is comfortable using either foot and is most effective when cutting inside from wide areas to create scoring chances. Tottenham are expected to target a winger and a striker this January after links to Ivan Toney, Samu Aghehowa, Rayan, Maghnes Akliouche, Antoine Semenyo.
New boss Thomas Frank is in search of more marquee signings after signing Mohammed Kudus from West Ham but missing out on Eberechi Eze and Morgan Gibbs-White.
Tzolis would likely be valued at around £35million after signing fresh terms last summer. Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund are also believed to be keen.
