Tottenham join the race for 22-G/A hitman as attacking woes continue

Thomas Frank’s Tottenham have entered the race to sign FC Midtjylland’s attacking sensation Franculino Dju.

While Tottenham had an impressive start to life under Thomas Frank, things haven’t been that great for them in recent months. They have been inconsistent in the final third, and it has cost them big time.

Franculino is a player in demand right now. Aston Villa and Newcastle have been linked with him as well.

The North London club are looking to reinforce their attack, and according to Corriere dello Sport via SportWitness, they have entered the race for the signature of FC Midtjylland’s Franculino Dju.

The 21-year-old striker has been in sensational form this season. He has been involved in 28 matches and has contributed towards 22 goals (19 goals, 3 assists).

His red-hot form hasn’t gone unnoticed. AS Roma are one of the clubs that have been keeping tabs on him for six months now. While they are keen on his signature, the Italian giants are set to face competition from Tottenham.

The North London club have entered the race to sign him as they look to bring an end to their attacking woes. Dominic Solanke’s injury struggles are one of the major reasons why Spurs are keen on reinforcing their attack.

With Randal Kolo Muani failing to have the desired impact, signing a striker has become a priority for Spurs. However, the Danish club won’t let him leave on the cheap. They valued him at €20 million last summer, and the price has now gone up to €30 million.

The €10 million hike has seen Roma back away, but Spurs are firmly in the race for his signature. As a result, it will be interesting to see if they do table an offer.
