Tottenham have added Real Madrid ace Rodrygo and Juventus star Kenan Yildiz to their January wish list. Spurs are looking add some marquee signing in January and are believed to be targeting both a striker and a winger.
While reports continue to link the club with a loan move for Al Ahli striker Ivan Toney, Thomas Frank is also understood to want a high profile winger in addition. TeamTalk has reported that Rodrygo and Yildiz make up the shortlist for wingers as Tottenham aim to make a statement signing.
Both players have been linked heavily with moves away from their respective clubs. Rodrygo in particular has appeared a frustrated figure with his lack of minutes under boss Xabi Alonso.
Tottenham currently sit 6th in the Premier League table and 10th in the Champions League standings. The next two transfer windows are seen as crucial for the Tottenham hierarchy, as they look to add a marquee signing to new boss’ Thomas Frank’s disposal.
Spurs completed the high profile signings of Xavi Simons from RB Leipzig and Mohammed Kudus from West Ham over the summer, but missed out on several of their other top targets. They were pipped to the signing of Eberechi Eze by their fierce rivals Arsenal, and narrowly missed out Morgan Gibbs-White despite agreeing a fee.
Spurs were also interested in Man City winger Savinho but were knocked back by City.
Juventus ace Yildiz has drawn admirers from all across Europe with Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Man City, and Barcelona all reportedly tracking the player. He is understood to be content at Juventus, but is seeking a substantial pay rise in his contract extension negotiations.
Many of his interested suitors can likely pay significantly higher wages than what Juventus can offer, so his situation remains one to monitor. Juventus rejected a €65m bid for the player from Chelsea over the summer, so it would likely take a fee higher than that to prize him away.
Rodrgyo continues to struggle for minutes with Madrid and is another who’s situation is gaining attention. He was linked heavily with Arsenal and Liverpool over the summer but no concrete interest ever developed.
