Tottenham winger Brennan Johnson is being tracked by Bournemouth and Crystal Palace ahead of the approaching January transfer window. Bournemouth are actively seeking replacements for Antoine Semenyo, who is expected to complete a move to Manchester City in the coming days.

Semenyo’s £65m release clause because active on 1 January and expires on 10 January to allow Bournemouth time to find a replacement. The Cherries have now reportedly added Johnson to the shortlist of replacements, with the Wales international struggling for minutes under new boss Thomas Frank.

Crystal Palace are also known admirers of Johnson, as they seek attacking reinforcements. Sky Sports has reported that while it is unclear whether or not Spurs will allow Johnson to leave in January, the club are actively pursuing a new forward of their own next month.

Spurs were linked with Manchester City winger Savinho for much of the summer before the Brazilian signed a new contract earlier this season. They are also known to be admirers of Savinho’s City teammates Omar Marmoush, FC Porto striker Samu Aghehowa, and Juventus forward Kenan Yildiz.

Spurs boss Thomas Frank admitted the player is lacking first team minutes, but suggested Johnson might still have a future at the club. When asked about Johnson’s future, Frank said : “I think Brennan is very important for us.”

“Maybe he didn’t get many minutes, but unfortunately I can only play 11 players.”

“He’s still started quite a few games. I think Brennan is an important player for us.”

Tottenham Sporting director Fabio Paratici is also the subject of speculation. Serie A side Fiorentina are reportedly interested in bringing Paratici to the club but have not yet formally approached Tottenham.

Paratici was pictured sitting alongside Tottenham chief executive Vinai Vinkateshem at Selhurst Park on Sunday, as Tottenham beat Palace 1-0. Johnson was an 85th minute substitute.
