Torino 0-2 Roma – Dybala praises Malen on debut but hints: ‘I don’t know how long I’ll stay in Italy’

Paulo Dybala starred as Roma claimed a convincing 2-0 away win against Torino, scoring once and assisting on Donyell Malen’s debut goal before reflecting on his long journey in Italian football.

Speaking to DAZN Italia after the match, via TMW, the Argentine playmaker underlined Roma’s growing belief and consistency this season.

“We have a great team, talented players and a great coach who pushes us to always give something more,” Dybala explained.

“It’s not a coincidence that we are up there. We had a great year in 2025, brought in some very good new players and we’ll do our best to stay in the top four.”

Dybala was particularly impressed by new signing Donyell Malen, who made an immediate impact after arriving on loan from Aston Villa.

“Malen makes movements that make it easy for us to find him,” he said.

“He’s very quick over the first few steps, and his control for the goal was crucial because it allowed him to beat the goalkeeper.”

The Roma captain also offered a more reflective note when asked about his future.

Having spent nearly 15 years in Italy, Dybala admitted he does not know how much longer his time in Serie A will last.

“Italy is almost half my life,” he said. “My next match will be the 600th of my career, so Italy will always be special for me. I don’t know how long I’ll stay here, but I want to enjoy it to the fullest.”

Roma’s win strengthens their push near the top of the table, with Dybala and Malen already looking like a decisive partnership.

Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
