The writing is on the wall for Juric at Atalanta

After a second defeat of the season, and after so many draws in the league, the memory of Atalanta’s victory over Marseille in the Champions League is quickly fading into oblivion. 

With just 13 points from 11 games in Serie A, La Dea have never faded so drastically in the first half of a season. It was a completely different story under Gasperini. 

What’s particularly striking is the lack of tactical understanding between Juric and the players. And some of the coach’s comments after the draw against Milan at the end of October were particularly striking, explaining that Gianluca Scamacca and Nikola Krstovic hadn’t played due to tactical reasons. 

The club’s assessment is now inevitable, especially with the upcoming international break. 

As was anticipated last week, Raffaele Palladino is worth keeping an eye on if there is a breakthrough at Atalanta in the near future. La Fea had already looked at him before settling on Juric over the summer. 

Thiago Motta is also on the list, another coach whom Atalanta had previously evaluated. 

It is worth noting that Roberto Mancini was in the stands for Atalanta’s last Champions League match against Marseille. The former Italy CT wants to return to coaching and is also evaluating some offers from abroad.
