Borussia Dortmund may be without Serhou Guirassy for next week’s Bundesliga showdown with Bayern Munich after his thigh injury resurfaced while with Guinea.

Guirassy has scored four goals in five Bundesliga outings this campaign, with Dortmund taking 14 points from six matches to sit second in the table, four points behind Bayern.

The striker recently missed Dortmund’s meeting with Mainz due to a thigh problem, though he returned with a goal in a 4-1 Champions League triumph over Athletic Bilbao before playing 81 minutes in a 1-1 draw with RB Leipzig.

So far this calendar year, Guirassy has scored 32 goals in 39 games across all competitions, with only Kylian Mbappe (44 goals) and Harry Kane (39) netting more often among all players from Europe’s top five leagues.
