Como emerged 2-0 victors over Sassuolo this evening, with goals from Anastasios Douvikas and Alberto Moreno separating the two teams.

Best Como Player: Nico Paz – The Argentine continues to shine as Como’s crown jewel. Picked up an assist and was a constant menace for the Sassuolo defence. Looked very lively today and helped his side secure a deserved three points.

Lowest Como Rating: Diego Carlos – On what was an overall competent night for the hosts, the Brazilian centre-back looked a little out of touch. Lost a couple of duels in the air but hardly had a terrible performance.

Coach: Cesc Fabregas 7.5 – Tonight was going to be a tricky test for Fabregas’ Como, who often thrive most as underdogs. This time, they met an in-form Sassuolo side but the Spaniard set up his team excellently to try and nullify the threat of the Neroverdi’s best forwards.

Best Sassuolo Player: Domenico Berardi – Unfortunately had to be taken off around the 50th minute due to discomfort but looked by far the Neroverdi’s most dangerous forward while on the pitch. The Italian is maturing like a fine wine as he continues a strong season.

Lowest Sassuolo Rating: Kone – The Canadian was unusually poor tonight and struggled to settle into the rhythm of the game. Was booked for a clumsy foul and was taken off with 10 minutes left.

Coach: Fabio Grosso 6 – By no means a dismal showing for Grosso’s side, just a little unlucky in front of goal. The coach set up his team well in what is a tricky away match – and was perhaps unlucky that his team failed to score at all.
