Serie A: Cremonese vs. Verona – Confirmed line-ups and updates

Jamie Vardy and Federico Bonazzoli lead the line for Cremonese as they host struggling Hellas Verona in Serie A on Monday evening.

Cremonese are looking to bounce back after a 5-0 hammering against Juventus last time out in the league, and a victory against Verona would see them spring up to 11th place in the Serie A table, where they would be one point shy of the top half.

Verona, meanwhile, are currently sat at the bottom of the Serie A table after a run of five matches without a win in the league. They were beaten 3-2 at home by Bologna last time out.

Davide Nicolas has made three alterations to his starting line-up for Monday evening’s clash against Verona: Alessio Zerbin, Dennis Johnson and Giuseppe Pezzella drop out of the starting XI and are replaced by Federico Ceccherini, Tommaso Barbieri and Jari Vandeputte.

Paolo Zanetti has made wholesale changes to his Verona side, including a change of goalkeepers with Simone Perilli replacing Lorenzo Montipo between the sticks. The visitors have made six changes to their starting XI all told.

Kick-off this evening is due at 17.30 GMT.

Cremonese (3-5-2): Audero; Ceccherini, Baschirotto, Bianchetti; Barbieri, Bondo, Grassi, Vandeputte, Terracciano; Vardy, Bonazzoli.

Subs: Silvestri, Nava, Zerbin, Johnsen, Pemi, Collocolo, Vazquez, Mussolini, Faye, Lordkipanidze, Folino.

Verona (3-4-3): Perilli; Slotsager, Nelsson, Ebosse; Lirola, Gagliardini, Bernede, Bradaric; Giovane, Orban, Sarr.

Subs: Montipò, Toniolo, Oyegoke, Serdar, Kastanos, Harroui, Mosquera, Niasse, Isaac, Fallou.

Quick take: Match context: momentum and small details could decide this one, especially set-pieces and transitions. Form and fitness will matter; expect managers to rotate carefully around the congested schedule. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
