There is some confusion over how long Dusan Vlahovic will be out for at Juventus, as Luciano Spalletti said a minimum of 2-3 months, but Sky Sport Italia report that could be as long as 5 months.
The centre-forward pulled up during the Serie A win against Cagliari on Saturday and immediately seemed distraught, as he realised the extent of the injury.
That was confirmed today as a high-grade lesion to the muscle-tendon junction of the left adductor longus.
The statement from the club notes that “further medical consultations will be necessary to determine the appropriate treatment.”
This will inevitably affect the recovery time, as Vlahovic will see a specialist and then decide along with the Juve medical staff whether or not to opt for a surgical intervention.
Coach Spalletti said in his press conference today that it will take at least two or three months for a full recovery, but this might be over-optimistic.
While three months seems to be the minimum mentioned by various reports, Sky Sport Italia warn it could be as much as five months, depending on the approach taken to treatment.
