Il Mattino newspaper reports that many Napoli players are unhappy with Antonio Conte’s training methods, with one major concern being that the Italian tactician doesn’t even provide weekly schedules for work at Castel Volturno.
Napoli players are growing unhappy with Conte’s training methods, according to Il Mattino newspaper.
Previous reports already claimed that tension inside the dressing room is still palpable despite Aurelio De Laurentiis’ publicly confirmed faith in the Italian tactician.
The new report from Il Mattino (via CalcioNapoli24) claims that many Napoli players are unhappy with how Conte organises his training sessions.
Not only do players feel that the daily work under Conte is physically challenging, but they are also frustrated by the schedule provided by the coach and his staff.
Conte, in fact, does not supply a weekly or monthly program, but the work is organised on a daily basis. This makes it tough for many of the players to even organise their private lives, not to mention that many, especially those coming from the Premier League, are accustomed to a different long-term schedule.
Stanislav Lobotka openly spoke about Conte’s demanding methods in a recent interview, initially suggesting that he might consider leaving in 2026.
The Slovakia international’s agent then clarified his client’s stance, saying that Conte is “like a father” to him.
