Report Galatasaray have submitted Fofana offer to Milan

Reports in Turkey claim that Galatasaray have submitted a formal offer to sign France international Youssouf Fofana from Milan.

According to reports from Yağız Sabuncuoğlu and Sports Digitale on Thursday evening, Galatasaray have met with Fofana’s representatives and have submitted an offer in an attempt to lure him away from San Siro in January.

The player himself, however, is said to be more interested in staying on in Milan, but that Galatasaray are hard at work in an attempt to secure the deal.

The exact amount that Galatasaray have supposedly offered has not been specified, but reports in Italy claim that the Rossoneri are unwilling to part ways with the Frenchman for anything less than €35m.

Milannews.it claims that Galatasaray have offered Fofana around €5.5m per season in wages, but this is not enough to convince him to leave.

For the time being, Fofana remains a Rossoneri player, and is in the starting line-up for Thursday night’s Serie A clash against Como. You can follow the action from Thursday night’s game as it unfolds on the Football Italia Liveblog.

Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
