Milan-born Simone Sozza has been appointed as the referee for Sunday’s derby della Madonnina between Inter and Milan.
AIA, the Italian Association of Referees, has named the match official for Serie A Week 12, including the derby della Madonnina between Inter and Milan.
The Serie A campaign will resume on Saturday, November 22, at 15:00 CET with Cagliari-Genoa and Udinese-Bologna.
The first big match is later on Saturday afternoon (18:00 CET) with Juventus visiting Fiorentina at the Stadio Franchi. Daniele Doveri, the most experienced referee in Serie A, will officiate the clash in Florence.
Another big match, Atalanta-Napoli, is the last one in Italy’s top flight on Saturday (20:45 CET). AIA has picked Marco Di Bello for the game at the Stadio Maradona, which will mark Raffaele Palladino’s debut as La Dea’s coach.
All eyes, however, will be on the Stadio Meazza in San Siro, where Inter and Milan meet on Sunday at 20:45 CET for the first derby della Madonnina in 2024-25.
The game will be officiated by Milan-born Simone Sozza, who was also the referee in the last Rome derby between Lazio and Roma in September.
