Official: Juventus confirm successful knee surgery for Gleison Bremer

Juventus have confirmed that Gleison Bremer has successfully undergone knee surgery in Lyon.

The Brazilian defender went under the knife on Tuesday morning, October 14, 2025, for an arthroscopic selective meniscectomy on the medial meniscus of his left knee.

The procedure was performed by Dr. Bertrand Sonnery-Cottet at the Hôpital Privé Jean Mermoz, with Juventus team doctor Paolo Cavallo in attendance.

A statement from the club said the operation was a complete success, and Bremer will begin his rehabilitation programme in the coming days as he targets a return to competitive action.

The 28-year-old centre-back had picked up the injury earlier this month and is expected to be sidelined for several weeks, though no official recovery timeline has yet been provided by the club.

Last season, the Brazilian missed a majority of the campaign after suffering an ACL injury in a Champions League game against RB Leipzig. He has since recovered but is struggling to get back to his best in the aftermath of such a serious injury.

Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
