Newcastle United pushing for immediate agreement of €100 million player

Newcastle United are reportedly preparing a major move for Palmeiras sensation Allan Elias, one of the brightest young talents in Brazilian football.

According to ESPN Brazil, the Magpies have stepped up their pursuit of the 18-year-old midfielder ahead of the January transfer window, with the South American giants open to negotiations if the price is right.

The teenager, who has already made headlines for his composure and technical ability, currently has a €100 million release clause, but Newcastle believe a deal could be struck for significantly less, particularly as Palmeiras look to balance their books ahead of the 2026 season.

Sources in Brazil claim that Palmeiras have set a €70 million target for player sales in 2026, and they plan to count only new transfers.

As part of that strategy, Allan Elias has been identified as a prime candidate to deliver a major windfall, given the strong interest from European clubs.

The Palmeiras board, led by football director Anderson Barros, has reportedly acknowledged that no player is untouchable ahead of 2026.

The club remains open to selling Allan if a suitable proposal arrives, ideally one that reflects his market potential and contributes to their long-term revenue goals.

Should Allan Elias complete a move abroad, he would follow in the footsteps of several high-profile Palmeiras graduates who have made blockbuster transfers to Europe in recent years.

Endrick, who joined Real Madrid for €72 million in 2022, became one of the most expensive teenage signings in football history.

Estevão Willian signed for Chelsea in 2024 in a deal worth up to €61.5 million.

The Brazilian giants are hoping that their latest player can replicate the transfer fee that European clubs paid to sign the above mentioned two players.

Palmeiras’ track record of producing world-class talent has made them a trusted source for European clubs scouting in South America and Newcastle’s recruitment team is eager not to miss out on the next Brazilian breakout star.
