Kate Agyemang pleads with authorities to pay 2015 Black Princesses World Cup bonuses

Former Black Princesses midfielder Kate Adu Agyemang has renewed calls on authorities to settle outstanding bonuses owed to members of the 2015 FIFA U-20 Womens World Cup qualifying team.

In a video circulating online, Adu Agyemang reminded authorities that more than a decade after helping Ghana secure qualification, each player is still owed $8,000.

I am making this video to petition, to remind the Ghana Football Association, the President of the Ghana Football Association, the Minister of Sports, that if they have forgotten that they still owe the 2015 women’s qualifying team to the World Cup, then this is a reminder petitioning them to do what is right by us, she said.

The squad earned a spot at the 2016 FIFA U-20 Womens World Cup in Papua New Guinea but finished bottom of their group, picking up two points after a loss to New Zealand and draws against France and the United States. Adu Agyemang featured in all three matches.

It has been over 12 years now since they owed us $8,000. $8,000 may not be a lot of money to them or to a lot of people, but to the people who sacrificed their lives and their time for this it is very essential, she stressed.

Several squad members, including Ernestina Abambilla, Sandra Owusu Ansah, and Princella Adubea, have since progressed to the senior national team, the Black Queens.

Adu Agyemang is urging her former teammates to join the call, insisting: 12 years is enough and we can’t let this keep going on.

I hope they listen to you this time ,12yrs is too much ahhhba !! Women mpo nie .. Then problem deh ooo .. sorry my sister I only did this post to help see if it can get to those institutions . So sorry cheers

Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
