Juventus consider swap deal with Milan after meeting with Spalletti – report

According to Tuttosport, Juventus are considering offering Milan a loan swap deal involving Federico Gatti and Ruben Loftus-Cheek.

Juventus and Milan could sit down in the coming days to discuss a swap deal between Bianconeri Gatti and Loftus-Cheek.

According to Tuttosport, the opportunity came up during a meeting involving Juventus coach Luciano Spalletti, CEO Damien Comolli and new sporting director Marco Ottolini on Friday.

Juventus’ priorities in the January window remain a versatile central midfielder and a backup for Kenan Yildiz.

Spalletti reportedly reiterated during the meeting that he’d only sign players who can potentially add quality to the team so as not to ruin the balance he’s reached in recent weeks.

Tuttosport claims that Spalletti is an admirer of Loftus-Cheek, who has recently rejected a move to Lazio, regardless of Maurizio Sarri, one of his former coaches at Chelsea.

Loftus-Cheek still wants more playing time as he hopes to be part of the England squad at the 2026 World Cup, and Juventus, who are still involved in three competitions, could offer him more opportunities to show his worth.

RLC’s physicality and versatility would fit Spalletti’s tactics, while Gatti would allow Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri to bolster his options in central defence in the second part of the campaign.

Quick take: Transfer watch: this move could reshape selection options and tactical balance in coming weeks. If incentives and add-ons are confirmed, expect follow-up negotiations or medicals to move quickly. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
