Juventus at risk of being stuck in Norway after 3-2 Bodo/Glimt victory

Juventus are still in Norway following Tuesday night’s 3-2 victory over Bodo/Glimt in the Champions League, and it is not yet guaranteed that the Bianconeri squad will be able to board their scheduled flight home due to adverse weather conditions in the area.

Juventus picked up their first Champions League victory of the season, largely thanks to a Kenan Yildiz masterclass in the second half. The young Turk laid on assists for Lois Openda, Weston McKennie and Jonathan David in an eventual 3-2 comeback victory for the Bianconeri.

As had been originally planned, the travelling Juve squad spent the night in Norway, and had been scheduled to fly home to Italy at around midday local time on Wednesday.

However, according to updates from La Gazzetta dello Sport, it is not yet guaranteed that Juventus will be able to board that flight, as the city woke up to snow again on Wednesday morning, and the airport’s runways are said to be frozen over.

It is not guaranteed either way whether Juventus will be able to fly home on their scheduled flight.

As per La Gazzetta dello Sport, Juve CEO Damien Comolli and director Giorgio Chiellini had to travel to the game by car after landing in Sweden due to the poor weather conditions in and around Bodo on Tuesday night.

There are reportedly around 1,000 passengers awaiting further travel updates at the Bodo airport on Wednesday.

Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
