Crystal Palace and Borussia Dortmund keen on Manchester City ace who has been exiled after Semenyo signing

Manchester City winger Oscar Bobb is being monitored by Crystal Palace and Borussia Dortmund. The 22-year-old remains highly rated at the Etihad but has struggled for first team minutes and is reportedly now considering his future.

Team Talk has reported that Crystal Palace is one the teams leading the queue for Bobb’s signature, and could be boosted by talks between the clubs over Palace defender Marc Guehi. Bobb could be used as a bargaining chip in a potential player-plus-cash deal for Guehi, as City look to replace the injured Ruben Dias and Josko Gvardiol.

Palace have recently signed forward Brennan Johnson from Tottenham but are believed to still be in the market for more attacking reinforcements. Manager Oliver Glasner spoke about his desire to add more additions to a squad that has been depleted by injuries and international duty.

Bobb remains a player firmly on the radar of Palace. It was revealed in December that the player would consider his future if City completed the signing of Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth. That move has now been confirmed with Semenyo also reportedly taking Bobb’s place in the squad list at City.

Bobb is now on the market for transfer this month.

The Norway international joined the City youth academy in 2019 and began to quickly ascend up the ranks at the club. He joined the first team in 2023 and went on to make 26 Premier League appearances scoring one goal and adding two assists.

He has made 47 appearances across all competitions for the club. Injuries have derailed much of his time however, with the player suffering a fractured leg early last season that kept him out for much of the campaign. He missed 200 days and 48 games, returning in March of 2025 but struggled to regain his form.

He has now returned from injury but remains frozen out of the first team picture at City. Sky Sports Germany’s Florian Plettenberg has reported that German outfit Borussia Dortmund is also one of the clubs monitoring the player’s situation.
