This is Roma’s first cup outing in 2025-26, while Torino have already beaten Modena and Pisa, both by 1-0 scorelines, in order to qualify for the round of 16.

The winner of this tie will go on to face Serie A leaders Inter in the quarter finals in February.

“We know that it’s an important game today, not only because we want to get through to the next round but because we know we’ll be playing them again in a few days’ time. It’s essential for us to do well,” the Granata wing-back told SportMediaset ahead of kick-off.

“The Coppa Italia is a goal for us,” the Giallorossi defender told SportMediaset before kick-off.

“Naturally, we want to win it, but the first step is to get through this round, and then we will go for the maximum.”

Robinio Vaz has landed in the capital and is ready to formally complete his €25m transfer from Olympique de Marseille.
