Bournemouth chief shares verdict on Andoni Iraola's future – 'That's our succession plan'

Andoni Iraola’s future remains up in the air at Bournemouth, with the Spaniard’s contract running out at the end of the season.

Bournemouth’s 3-1 win against Fulham before the international break leaves Iraola’s side fourth in the Premier League table and only two points below league leaders Arsenal.

Iraola has done a magnificent job at the Vitality Stadium leading Bournemouth to 12th and ninth placed league finishes.

Man United are exploring Iraola as a Ruben Amorim replacement if they decide to the sack the Portuguese boss, meaning Bournemouth could lose one of other biggest assets at the club.

Football Insider exclusively revealed that Bournemouth are “confident” in agreeing a new long-term deal with Iraola.

Now as per Ben Jacobs on X, [10 October], Bournemouth chief Tiago Pinto wants to sort the contract situation out “sooner rather than later.”

“Our first option is Andoni. Our second option is Andoni. Our third option is Andoni. That’s our succession plan.”
