Allegri confirms three Milan players out vs. Fiorentina, one in dobut, Saelemaekers back

Massimiliano Allegri confirms that Christian Pulisic, Pervis Estupinan and Adrien Rabiot will miss tomorrow’s game against Fiorentina, but Christopher Nkunku is also in doubt, and Alexis Saelemaekers is available.

Milan coach Allegri provided the latest team news on the eve of a Serie A match against Fiorentina.

Many of the Rossoneri stars, including Pulisic, returned from international duties with injuries.

“We’ll be without Rabiot and Pulisic. Estupinan won’t be available, and Nkunku is to be assessed; he’s got an issue with his big toe. If he manages to put his boot on, he’ll be with us. Saelemaekers is available,” Allegri said at a press conference on Saturday, via Milannews.

“We have enough players for tomorrow’s match, so there are absolutely no problems in that regard. Injuries are part of the season; we just have to be smart in handling the moment. It’s an extra motivation.”

Reports in Italy have claimed that Milan directors were unhappy with USMNT coach Mauricio Pochettino, who had started Pulisic in a friendly against Australia only to be forced to replace their star after just 30 minutes.

Pulisic was already not fully fit when the international break began, as he had joined his national team with an ankle problem.

Allegri, however, refused to complain and insisted he’d need to find a solution instead.

“When there’s a problem, we must find a solution; we can’t keep talking about the problem, otherwise, we just lose time,” he concluded.

Milan have earned 13 points in six Serie A games this term and are just two points below the leading pair Napoli and Roma.

Quick take: Match context: momentum and small details could decide this one, especially set-pieces and transitions. Form and fitness will matter; expect managers to rotate carefully around the congested schedule. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
