‘Sometimes we get upset with him’ – Jordan Ayew reacts to Fatawu Issahaku’s extraordinary strike

Ghana captain Jordan Ayew has revealed he and his Leicester City teammates have always had problems with Fatawu Issahaku with his long-range efforts in matches.The Black Stars attacker stole the headlines at the weekend after scoring a 65-yard goal, as the Foxes cruised to a 3-1 victory at the King Power Stadium.Issahaku’s strike overshadowed an early 30-yard opener from Bobby De Cordova-Reid, who continued his fine scoring form. Jordan Ayew added Leicester’s third early in the second half before Jens Cajuste pulled one back for Ipswich.And according to Ayew, Issahaku’s teammates including himself had always screamed at him with his long-rage strikes."He's been trying it for years. We always scream at him! Today, he was rewarded. Fair play to him for keeping on trying. Sometimes we get upset with him."The victory lifts Leicester to eighth place, three points off the Championship play-off positions, while reaffirming Fatawu’s growing influence in the team as one of their standout performers this season.Issahaku has registered 10 goal contributions for Leicester City this season, scoring four and delivering six assists across the period.
