La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Santiago Gimenez is considering leaving Milan in the January window, with the Rossoneri very much open to listening to offers.
Milan and Santiago Gimenez could part ways in the winter transfer window, according to the latest report from Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Mexico international has been out of action for over a month due to an ankle injury and is not expected to be available for the next two matches, continuing individual training sessions at Milanello.
Gimenez has only scored one goal across all competitions this season and hasn’t yet found the net in a Serie A match in 2025-26.
Last summer, he refused to leave the Rossoneri as he was eager to fight for a starting spot at Milanello, but in the opening months of the campaign, he’s fallen further down in Massimiliano Allegri’s pecking order.
Therefore, according to Gazzetta, the striker and his agent are now looking for a new club for the January window.
Other sources have already linked Sunderland, Brentford and West Ham with signing the ex-Feyenoord star who moved to San Siro in January 2025 for €28.5m plus add-ons.
Milan will be open to listening to offers and are already following other centre-forwards, including Crystal Palace’s Jean-Philippe Mateta.
