Paulo Dybala’s future at Roma is once again in question, with reports from Argentina suggesting that the Argentine forward dreams of returning home to play for Boca Juniors.
Excitement is high in Buenos Aires after Boca’s 2-0 win over River Plate in the Superclásico – a victory that also sealed their qualification for the next Copa Libertadores. According to Argentine outlet Diario Olé, via CalcioMercato, that could be the stage where Dybala appears next.
Daniel Paredes, the father of Boca midfielder and Dybala’s close friend Leandro Paredes, claimed on Cadena Xeneize: “I know things. I know that Paulo wants to come. He’s a Boca fan through and through.”
Paredes went even further, adding: “I overheard a conversation between Leandro and Paulo, and he told him he would come. Paulo will play for Boca – his daughter will be a Boca fan and watch her father play at La Bombonera.”
For now, Dybala remains a Roma player, sidelined with a thigh injury suffered against Milan. His contract runs until June 2026, but there have been no talks over an extension. Any renewal would likely depend on both his fitness and his willingness to lower his €8m salary plus bonuses.
