Wolverhampton Wanderers’ managerial shake-up could bring unexpected financial relief for Juventus.
Following the dismissal of Vitor Pereira, Wolves are exploring several coaching options and among the names considered are two familiar to Bianconeri fans: Thiago Motta and Igor Tudor.
According to Matteo Moretto on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, via Goal, the Premier League side have sounded out both ex-Juve coaches to gauge their availability.
For Juventus, either appointment could translate into significant savings.
Both Motta and Tudor remain under contract in Turin until June 2027, with the club still paying their salaries following their recent dismissals.
Motta’s deal, worth around €16.3m gross including his staff, runs up the largest bill, while Tudor’s package is believed to total roughly €11m.
If Wolves were to appoint one of them, Juventus would immediately be freed from those financial commitments -effectively saving up to €16m in wages over the next three seasons.
Reports suggest, however, that both coaches are reluctant to accept the Premier League offer, preferring to wait for new opportunities elsewhere.
Even so, Juventus will be quietly hoping that Wolverhampton’s search for a new leader on the touchline might finally end one of their most expensive off-field headaches.
