Sunderland have been enjoying a remarkable return to the Premier League this season.
The Black Cats sit eighth in the table, with European qualification still a realistic possibility.
Several summer signings have made an immediate impact, with Granit Xhaka, Noah Sadiki, and Enzo Le Fee anchoring the midfield, while Nordi Mukiele and Robin Roefs have provided a solid defensive foundation.
Up front, Dutch striker Brian Brobbey has been a standout performer.
After a slow start following his deadline-day move from Ajax, the 24-year-old has quickly established himself as Sunderland’s main attacking threat.
Brobbey has scored five Premier League goals this season, starting 10 of the club’s last 11 league games, and has become central to Regis Le Bris’ plans. Former Sunderland forward Marco Gabbiadini even described him as a “beast” for his combination of power, pace, and finishing ability.
According to Turkish outlet Sabah, Fenerbahce are now monitoring Brobbey as a potential target as they look to strengthen their attack.
The Super Lig club, managed by Domenico Tedesco, are searching for a new centre-forward in the final stages of their transfer window, which remains open until Friday. Brobbey is reportedly one of several options being considered.
Despite the interest, Sunderland’s stance on a potential transfer remains unclear. Even if Brobbey were open to a move, it seems unlikely that the Black Cats would sanction a sale mid-season, given his importance in their first campaign back in the Premier League.
For now, Brobbey’s performances have put him on the continental radar, but a move to Turkey appears more hypothetical than imminent.
Over the years, he's had the pleasure of interviewing some of the biggest names in world sport, including Usain Bolt, Rafael Nadal, Christian Pulisic, and more.
