Antoine Semenyo leads most expensive January 2026 signings

Black Stars forward Antoine Semenyo has emerged the most expensive signing in January 2026 following his move to Manchester City. The Ghana international joined Man City in the winter transfer window for a whooping €72 million from AFC Bournemouth.The amount spent by City to get the Ghanaian puts him up ahead of the rest, in a month that €350 million was spent on the top ten signings.Following Semenyo on the list in second place is Lucas Paqueta, who moved from West Ham to Brazilian club Flamengo for €42 million.In the third and fourth spots are Conor Gallagher and Brenan Johnson, who joined Tottenham Hotspur and Crystal Palace respectively.Taty Castellanos and Matteo Guendouzi, both moving from Lazio to West Ham and Fenerbahce respectively, sit in fifth and sixth places.Gerson, Lorenzo Lucca, Marc Guehi – Semenyo's new teammate, and Pablo completes the list of top ten January 2026 signings.Semenyo is already enjoying a blistering start to his career at the Etihad, having netted three in four appearances for Pep Guardiola's side.Below is the complete list:
