La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Joshua Zirkzee remains willing to join Roma in the January transfer window and is pushing to leave Manchester United despite Ruben Amorim’s sacking.
Roma continue to push for Manchester United striker Zirkzee and, according to Gazzetta, the Dutch striker has already informed the Red Devils that he has prioritised a return to Italy.
According to the report, Roma directors have reassured their coach, Gian Piero Gasperini, that they’ll push to sign both Raspadori and Zirkzee this month.
Raspadori is already close to moving to the Olimpico on loan with an option to buy from Atletico Madrid.
According to Gazzetta, Roma are also prepared to sign Zirkzee from Manchester United on loan with an obligation to buy tied to Champions League qualification for €38m.
The Giallorossi directors continued talks with Zirkzee’s entourage on Thursday. According to the report, Roma are ready to offer the ex-Bologna star a €3.5m-a-year salary until 2030.
United, however, have recently sacked Amorim and are in no hurry to make any transfer decision as they are yet to hire a replacement for the Portuguese.
