VfL Wolfsburg’s summer signing Adam Daghim sat down for an in-house interview today and discussed life at the Autosadt club, his rise to success and speaking the German language.
“The transfer really happened at the very last minute, and it was pretty hectic. But that’s exactly what helped me settle in right away. I didn’t have much time to think about it.
“Every day, I’m growing a little more into the team. I try to show that in training and in games.
“When you see international players from your country on the team, it automatically gives you a good feeling – both mentally and football-wise.
“Things can move extremely quickly in football. I was as prepared as possible for every step, but if you had asked me five years ago, I certainly wouldn’t have predicted a move to the Bundesliga.
“Now it feels like the perfect next step: a very high level, a huge challenge – and you immediately notice what you need to work on, both defensively and offensively, to develop further,” he added.
Thankfully, the Danish international spent a period of his childhood in Germany, so adapting to a new country has felt straightforward from his perspective.
