Tottenham v Villarreal: Confirmed line-ups as Richarlison starts

Richarlison returns to lead the attack as Tottenham play Champions League action for the first time since 2023.

The Europa League winners have never faced Villarreal before and with manager Thomas Frank making his own Champions League bow, it’s the Brazil striker who starts up front.

Spurs are of course still without a number of players such as Dominic Solanke, James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski.

But Frank has been able to name a strong and attacking side. Mathys Tel, who started at the weekend, is not in the Champions League squad.
