Thuram explains Juventus goal celebrations against Napoli

Khephren Thuram explains Juventus’ goal celebrations in their 3-0 win over Napoli and insists ‘we can still improve’ under Luciano Spalletti.

Juventus secured a massive 3-0 win over rivals Napoli at the Allianz Stadium last night.

Jonathan David, Kenan Yildiz and Filip Kostic provided the goals for the Old Lady, who has now moved just one point below the Partenopei in the Serie A standings.

Thuram spoke at a press conference attended by Football Italia last night, during which he explained the Bianconeri’s goal celebrations: “We celebrated by drinking a coffee. When Kenan scored, he did a star, and we mimed little sparkles. I don’t know what we’ll do going forward, but it’s nice.”

The Bianconeri have won 12 games from 18 under Spalletti. The Italian tactician was appointed at the end of October to replace Igor Tudor.

“Our goal is to win because we are at Juventus. We must always try to win and grow, as a team and as players,” Thuram continued.

“We’ve been improving a lot since the coach arrived, but we can still improve even more, and we’re working toward that.”

Juventus return to the pitch on Wednesday, visiting Monaco in the final match of the league phase of the Champions League.

The Bianconeri currently sit 5th in the Serie A standings, just one point below Roma and Napoli, who occupy a Champions League placement.

Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
