Louis Thomas Buffon has scored another hat-trick for Czechia U19, bringing his tally to six goals in his last three international appearances.
Gigi Buffon’s son, Louis Thomas, has scored another hat-trick at an international level.
The Pisa talent had already netted three times against Azerbaijan in the Under-19 European Championship qualifier last week and did exactly the same against Northern Ireland on Tuesday, contributing to a 4-0 away win.
During the latest international break, Buffon Jr. scored six goals in three games against Azerbaijan, Malta and Northern Ireland.
Son of one of the most legendary Italian players and Czech model Alena Seredova, the promising Pisa striker has decided to play for his mother’s country at a youth level.
The 17-year-old explained his decision in a recent interview (via Gazzetta): “Alongside my family, we decided it was the best decision for my development as a footballer. We believe it’s the best solution.”
Gigi Buffon has added that his son would take “no shortcut” in his career as a footballer.
“We discussed it as a family, and we’re happy,” the former goalkeeper said in February.
“He needs to make his own decisions and follow his own path without any external influence, above all, without the pressure of being named Buffon. He will make it on his own, with no shortcuts. Everything he has earned, he has earned himself. We’ll see what the future holds.”
Louis Thomas Buffon can either play as an attacking left winger or centre-forward.
He has scored 10 goals with the Pisa Primavera team and has made his Serie A debut against Bologna on October 5, 2025.
Despite playing at a youth level for Czechia, Buffon’s son can still receive a senior call-up by the Italy national team.
