In the aftermath of Borussia Dortmund’s 1-1 stalemate with RB Leipzig, Nico Schlotterbeck felt his side’s poor start cost them victory this afternoon.
“We’re still unbeaten, but for me, one point just isn’t enough. We went behind in the first-half due to a stupid set-piece goal.
“After that, we came back well and controlled the game. The second half was a lot of back and forth. If Fabio gets the final touch, we’ll be happy – but we were missing the lucky punch.
“Now we’ve got a point against Leipzig: That’s not bad, but it’s not what we wanted either,” the Dortmund captain explained to Sky Germany.
BVB’s goalkeeper Gregor Kobel also shared his thoughts with Sky in his post-match interview. He felt his side were still suffering with fatigue from their European duties in midweek.
“You could tell in the first half that we were still playing on Wednesday night. Still, I didn’t think it was a bad performance from us.
“Leipzig played well too, creating chances time and again. We could have perhaps created one or two more. That would have been important.
