Savona recommends Premier League move to Chelsea and Arsenal-linked Yildiz

Nottingham Forest defender Nicolò Savona recommends a Premier League move to ‘any young player who loves football’, including his former Juventus teammate Kenan Yildiz.

Savona released an interview with Gazzetta dello Sport, discussing his first few months at Forest.

The 22-year-old, a product of the Juventus academy, joined the Premier League club last summer and recently scored his first Premier League goal in a home game against Manchester United.

“I rewatched it several times in the following days. Scoring against Manchester United, at home, in front of our fans and my family was an incredible experience,” Savona admitted.

“I felt on top of the world. If it had been a winning goal, it would have meant even more, but in the end, we drew 2-2.”

The versatile defender revealed that many of his ex-Juventus teammates texted him after his goal against the Red Devils.

“I’ve bonded quite well with Perin and Bremer, but actually, many people wrote to me after the goal. I haven’t heard from Thiago Motta yet, but there will be other chances,” he said.

“Juventus will always be home for me. Right now, I’m focused on Nottingham Forest, where I’m having a wonderful experience,” Savona continued.

“I get along well with my teammates, I like the city, and I really love the English atmosphere.

“In football, as in life, there are moments when you have to make choices. I’m happy with mine. I thank my family and my agent, Michele Puglisi, who have supported me.”

Many Serie A players have been moving to the Premier League in recent years, and Savona’s ex-teammate Yildiz has been linked with a move to Arsenal and Chelsea.

Would he recommend a move to England to the Turkish talent?

“I’d recommend the Premier League to any young player who loves football; it would be hard to say otherwise. So yes, also to Kenan and to any teammate,” Savona replied.

Savona has made 10 appearances across all competitions this season. He received his first Italy call-up a year ago from Luciano Spalletti, who has now been appointed as the new Juventus coach.

“He’s an experienced and strong coach; his career speaks for itself. I’m sure he’ll prove it in Turin as well. As a Juventus fan,” concluded Savona.

“I wish Spalletti and my former teammates all the best in fighting for the top positions.”

Quick take: Big picture: the update fits broader trends across the league with schedule pressure and tight tables. Supporters will watch for clarity from training ground reports and official briefings. Continental stakes raise the intensity, where away goals no longer apply but margins still feel razor thin. We’ll keep an eye on confirmed details as the story develops from official sources.
