La Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Roma owner Dan Friedkin has ambitious plans for the Giallorossi’s future, including building a new 60,000-seat stadium and the pursuit of Joshua Zirkzee.
Roma have had a convincing start to the season as Gian Piero Gasperini’s side are the joint-table leaders alongside defending champions Napoli.
The Giallorossi have conceded just two goals, resulting in the least-beaten defence in the league, but also scored only seven times, so they are already considering signing a new striker in January.
According to Gazzetta, Manchester United’s Zirkzee is the top target, followed by Folarin Balogun of Monaco and Lucas Stassin of Saint-Etienne.
Previous reports in Italy claimed that Zirkzee was willing to leave Manchester United and return to Serie A.
However, Friedkin also has long-term plans, including building a new stadium in the area of Pietralata.
According to the report, Roma see Munich’s Allianz Stadium as a model for their new arena, which will have a 60,000 capacity.
