Serie B side Pescara have confirmed Lorenzo Insigne’s return to the club: ‘He’s back.’
Italy Euro 2020 winner Insigne has completed a free transfer to Pescara in the Italian Serie B.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the 34-year-old has signed a contract until the end of the season with an option to extend if the Delfini secure survival this season.
Insigne already played for Pescara in Serie B in 2011-12, contributing to their promotion to Serie A alongside Marco Verratti and Ciro Immobile.
The trio would go on to win the Euros with Italy in 2021, while Verratti is now one of the Pescara co-owners.
Insigne had been without a club since last summer, when he mutually agreed to terminate his contract with MLS side Toronto FC.
È tutto, incredibilmente, vero 🥺
