Raffaele Palladino has said his first words as new Atalanta coach and will hold a press conference just hours before his debut against Napoli on November 22.
The tactician was appointed today on a contract to June 2027, as predecessor Ivan Juric was fired following a poor start to the campaign.
The former Monza and Fiorentina boss arrived at the Zingonia training ground in Bergamo this morning, where he had lunch with the club directors, before the deal was signed and announced.
He drove out of the headquarters this evening and stopped briefly to salute the media.
“Thank you all, I am happy, thank you,” said Palladino before driving away.

La Dea confirmed that a presentation press conference will only be held on November 21, just hours before the new coach makes his debut in the Serie A showdown with Antonio Conte’s Napoli at the Stadio Maradona.
Curiously, this is an extra emotional evening for him, because Palladino’s home town is Naples.
That will be followed by the Champions League encounter with Eintracht Frankfurt on November 26, then his old club Fiorentina on November 3 and Genoa in the Coppa Italia on December 3.
The year ends with a trip to Verona, hosting Chelsea in Europe on December 9, then Cagliari, Genoa and Inter in Serie A up to December 28.
