Black Stars goalkeepers’ trainer Fatau Dauda insists his appointment to the senior team was earned through experience and formal coaching qualifications.Dauda joined the national setup in early 2024 alongside Otto Addo, having previously worked with the Sudan national team.He emphasized that his role reflects competence, not past reputation as a former player.He obtained his coaching certification from the Right to Dream Academy, where he deepened his understanding of modern goalkeeping techniques and coaching methodology.“I was there and they called me. So I want people to know that I’m not coaching the national team because of who I was before, like being Fatau Dauda, who played in the national team. It’s because I’m into coaching. I’ve learned and I’m still learning,” he told Sporty FM.He added, “So people shouldn’t feel like I’m coaching the national team just because of my past. It’s not like that. I went to the environment at Right to Dream and I realised that if you want to be a coach, you need to learn.”Dauda began his professional coaching career in 2022 with Ghana’s U-20 national team before transitioning to the senior squad.

What we observed here, [the] 2-0, is a fair result. It could have been worse, looking at the number of shots that they [Japan] had in the second half,” Ahinful told TV3.“I’ll still maintain that we should not take these matches for granted because we’ve known for the past two, three months that we’ll be playing South Korea and Japan,” he added.Ghana will aim to rebound when they face South Korea on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, in their second international friendly of the current tour.
