1. FC Heidenheim secured their first points of the Bundesliga season, as they beat FC Augsburg 2-1 at Voith-Arena on Saturday.

After being named in Borussia Dortmund’s starting lineup for Saturday’s Bundesliga clash with Mainz, Serhou Guirassy was forced to withdraw shortly before kickoff due to a thigh problem.

Leverkusen triumphed 2-1 in Hamburg this afternoon, but the hosts were first to cause trouble in the visitors' box. Eric Smith's header in the opening five minutes beat Mark Flekken but looped agonisingly wide of the target. St.Pauli looked to maintain their flow as Andreas Hountondji's shot zipped over the bar but Badé's slight block was a key deflection.

Appeals for a red card rang around the Voith Arena, but nothing came as Niklas Dorsch blazed over from the free. Zesiger escaped with yellow for his troubles.

RB Leipzig secured a 1-0 win this afternoon and required all of seven minutes to take the lead in Lower Saxony as Rômulo, who  previously had a goal from a corner routine ruled out, turned provider for Johan Bakayoko to drill a low shot past Grabara into the bottom-right corner. 

Borussia Dortmund were dealt a blow in their pre-match preparations as Serhou Guirassy picked up an injury but Julian Brandt, who  started as a late addition from the get-go, inspired BVB to a 2-0 win. It was a cagey game that quickly burst to life when Paul Nebel struck the base of the post from an Armindo Sieb cross.
