Ghana coach Otto Addo says the quality of Ghana Premier League matches varies as he continues to monitor local players ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.Currently, only Hearts of Oak goalkeeper Benjamin Asare features regularly in the Black Stars squad from the domestic league."I think sometimes games are very, very high standard, and sometimes itâs low. So it varies really. But you see a lot of talent. I even wish I had more time to try even more," Addo told Sporty FM.He stressed that selection is based on performance rather than league affiliation. "This is the difficulty we have to get a team for the World Cup. For me, itâs not about local league or non-local league players. Itâs just about performance. Weâre observing them, and if we see that anyone can fit in, surely weâll call them," he added.Addoâs comments highlight his continued focus on scouting promising players from the domestic league while preparing a competitive squad for Ghanaâs fifth World Cup appearance.
