Ghana head coach Otto Addo is determined to protect the unity in the Black Stars ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.On Sunday, October 12, the German-trained tactician made history, qualifying Ghana for the World Cup for the second time (2022 and 2026), to become the only coach in the history of the countrys national team to achieve that feat.Since the qualification for next years World Cup, there has been pressure to bring in new players to augment the national team before the tournament.Speaking to 3Sports, Coach Otto Addo has stressed that any addition to his squad must be done cautiously to ensure it does not affect the unity in the Black Stars.I think Ghana should always have a certain pride. As a country, we need to check the commitment of each player, which is very crucial because we have very good unity, and we definitely dont want to destroy it by bringing players who dont have commitment, Addo emphasised. The Black Stars coach is expected to engage in massive player monitoring in the next seven months before finalising his squad for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.Although it is anticipated that many of the players who featured in the qualification campaign will make the World Cup squad, a few additions wont come as a surprise.
