Luciano Spalletti has confirmed his squad of 23 Juventus players to take on Bologna at the Dall’Ara on Sunday evening, in a game that is already crucial in the race for the Champions League positions in Serie A.
The Bianconeri sit in seventh place in the Serie A standings ahead of kick-off with 23 points to their name thus far. Bologna are two points and two positions above them in the table as things stand.
Spalletti’s side were beaten 2-1 away against reigning champions Napoli last time out in Serie A, but have since got back to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Pafos in the Champions League on Wednesday night.
Spalletti has named the exact same squad of players that he did against Pafos for this evening’s match against Bologna.
Defenders Gleison Bremer and Daniele Rugani have returned to the squad against Pafos, and have been selected again for the Bologna trip, but it remains to be seen whether either of them will earn any minutes on this occasion. Pre-match reports suggest that it will be a back three of Pierre Kalulu, Lloyd Kelly and Teun Koopmeiners again on Sunday.
Khephren Thuram is expected to return to the midfield after Fabio Miretti’s opportunity midweek, while Francisco Conceicao could come into the team in place of Edon Zhegrova in attack.
Juventus are without Dusan Vlahovic, Federico Gatti, Arkadiusz Milik and Carlo Pinsoglio.
Goalkeepers: Perin, Di Gregorio.
Defenders: Bremer, Kelly, Kalulu, Rugani, J.Mario, Cambiaso, Cabal, Rouhi, Scaglia.
Midfielders: Locatelli, Koopmeiners, Adzic, Kostic, Thuram, Miretti, McKennie.
Forwards: Conceicao, Yildiz, Zhegrova, Openda, David.
