Chairman of the Black Stars Management Committee, Dr. Randy Abbey, has backed Sports Minister Kofi Adams over his decision to make the Black Starsâ budget public, insisting that the move did not cause any unrest within the team.Ahead of Ghanaâs Matchday 7 to 10 fixtures in the 2026 World Cup qualifiers, Mr Adams disclosed the teamâs budget, a move that drew criticism from sections of the football fraternity. Some football administrators even linked the teamâs 1-1 draw against Chad to the Ministerâs transparency. But Dr Abbey dismissed those claims, stating that no player had expressed concern about the disclosure."I was in the Black Stars camp, and no player complained about the Sports Minister reading out the budget before games," he told Sporty FM."I don't see the big deal in the Minister's decision," Dr Abbey added. The Black Stars, who have already sealed qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, will find out their group-stage opponents when the draw is held on December 5.
