Napoli winger Noa Lang says he is thriving in his new surroundings and already feels the weight and intensity of Sunday’s showdown with Juventus, describing it as “a match unlike any other” during an interview with Radio CRC.
The Dutchman arrived in the summer with high expectations and has settled in well in Antonio Conte’s system, adding verticality, energy and unpredictability in the final third.
After an encouraging run of performances, Lang stressed that both he and the team must maintain their level with a decisive stretch of fixtures approaching.
“I’m very happy with the moment I’m experiencing at Napoli,” he said, with quotes via AlfredoPedulla.com. “We’re playing well and that’s important for me. We have to keep going like this, individually and as a team. We have to be ready, we don’t have a choice, the big matches are coming.”
Lang underlined that Napoli’s ambitions demand consistency across all fronts, from Serie A to Europe. “I think Napoli are a team that must be competitive in every competition. So if you ask me, it’s not even a question. There’s no other option than to be ready.”
Attention now turns to the weekend, with Juventus visiting the Stadio Maradona in one of Italy’s most charged fixtures. Lang admitted he could already sense the tension and significance surrounding the match.
“Napoli–Juventus? You can already feel in the air that here it’s not a match like all the others,” he added. “I knew even before arriving that it’s an important game.”
